Information & Communication Technology (ICT)
As with the world around us, ICT is a phenomenon that transcends through all areas of school life. Our children need to be prepared for the future and need to keep up with the ever changing pace of technological improvements.

Discreet ICT lessons are taught throughout the school from Reception upwards. Pre-Prep classes are taught in very small groups in order that maximum support is available. Years 3 - 8 receive 40 minute lessons in one of our three ICT classroom areas. Our syllabus initially covers the essentials such as word processing, spreadsheets and databases, using simple versions of well known programs.
As the pupils progress up through the school the fuller programs are introduced and more features are learnt. ICT is also used to fully nurture the creative talents of the children by data logging, control technology, cartoon animation and pod casting. Several projects are embarked upon to allow pupils to undertake more independent roles.
ICT is also used extensively in other subject areas for both teaching and learning of new material.
