11+ Scholarships

Entry To Year 7 and 11+ Scholarships

Entry tests for Year 6 external pupils take place in the fourth week in January. We can also cater for applications throughout the year.

Pupils will be invited to sit tests in Mathematics and English. School reports and general school records are also taken into account. External and internal pupils who do exceptionally well will be considered automatically for an academic scholarship if they are in Year 6 and under 12 years old on the 1st September.  Pupils who pass the entrance test also have the choice to be considered for assessment for Sport and Music Scholarships in competition with internal candidates. Clearly, we will be looking at and assessing talented children who have competed at sport at high levels and for children who have considerable musical potential.

Scholarships are worth up to 30% of tuition fees and means tested bursaries are available for those in need of further financial support.
