Netball
Netball is the major game for girls Years 5-8 in the spring term and for Under 9s in the autumn term. During the last 6 years we have reached the National Netball Finals 4 times a record we hugely proud of! The girls train on our 6 outdoor courts and in the Sports Hall in the event of bad weather. We have a strong and well qualified coaching team, who include several staff who are still actively involved playing the game.
On average the Under 9s will play 6 matches during the season (plus tournaments), the Under 11s will play 10 matches (plus tournaments) and the Seniors will play around 10 to 12 matches (plus tournaments). Brandeston Hall is also the host school for the largest school girl netball netball tournament in East Anglia-The IAPS East Finals, which involves over 500 girls.
Girls are regularly selected to play at County level. However our philosophy remains the same, teach them the girls the basics, encourage, enthuse, inspire and involve as many children as we can.
