Netball
Netball is the major game for girls Years 5-8 in the spring term and for Year 3 and 4s in the autumn term. The girls train on our 6 outdoor courts and sports hall. We have an experienced and well-qualified coaching team, that includes current Suffolk player Leah Webster.
We take great pride in knowing that every girl will be given the opportunity to represent the school in regular competitive matches play against other prep schools and we also travel to Kent with our Under 11, Under 12 and Under 13 teams as an annual pre-season warm-up.
Our top squads also represent the school at the annual Regional IAPS Tournaments and Invitational Tournaments. Success at these has led to several Brandeston teams reaching the National Netball Finals. Staff will also nominate individuals that show potential for Suffolk Development, Satellite or County screening. Selection at these has resulted in some of our players enjoying valuable experience within one of these County squads.
However, our philosophy remains the same, to encourage, enthuse and inspire.
