Rugby
Rugby is the major game for all boys in Years 5 to 8 in the autumn term, and for Boys in Years 3 and 4 in the Spring Term. The Under 9s play 9 a side contact rugby (having been coached in tag rugby as Under 7s and 8s), the Colts play 12 a side Rugby and the Seniors play the 15 a-side game. View gallery here . . .
We enjoy strong tradition of rugby and benefit from the expertise of a large number of highly qualified and experienced coaches. These include Northampton Saints Academy Coach Simon Sinclair and Northampton Saints Academy player Charlie Sadler.

We have an extensive fixture list which includes the strongest schools in the region and pride ourselves on our philosophy of excellence and inclusivity.
On average the Under 9s will play 6 matches during the season (plus tournaments), the Colts will play 10 matches and the Seniors will play around 12 matches. The 1st and the Colts A teams both go on tours to Leicestershire and Lincolnshire and we are regular visitors to Franklin's Gardens (Home of Northampton Saints), Welford Road (home of Leicester Tigers) and Twickenham.

We are delighted with our links with Northampton Saints and with Leicester Tigers and regularly have pupils selected for their Academies Programme. Former Brandeston Hall and Framlingham College pupils Will Owen is currently in his second season at Leicester Tigers and represented England at Under 17 level last year.
In addition many pupils are regularly selected to play for Suffolk, the Eastern Counties and the Prep Schools Barbarians. It is our intention to inspire and to encourage the boys to be the very best players they can be and foster a love and understanding of the game.
