Tennis

With eight hard courts on site and access to more than double that at the senior school, Framlingham College it is natural to assume that we take this sport very seriously. The summer grass courts at the senior school are the venue for the second oldest tennis competition to Wimbledon.

Tennis coaching is a part of our sports curriculum for children in Years 1 - 8, but as a result of our enviable successes on the circuit the demand for extra tennis coaching has ballooned under the expert coaching delivered by Trevor Wright MBTCA and his team. Trevor has been awarded the Suffolk Lawn Tennis Association Coach of the Year twice and the club has been recognised as a Clubmark Accredited LTA Mini Tennis Centre and takes place for children from 8 to 18 years of age.

More than 10 players regularly play for Suffolk every year and we regularly win County Team titles including the Suffolk Schools, the Suffolk National Junior Club League and the Suffolk Club Mini Tennis Orange titles. In 2007 one of girls progressed through to the quarter finals at Wimbledon at U12 level.
