Week Ending: Friday 24 May, 2013
Book Week
Thank you all for the huge support we have received for Book Week. We have had so many children eagerly looking through the book fair and we have sold lots of books which has been fantastic to see. I look forward to seeing the photographs from the fun run which will be posted on the website on the Brandeston blog and on twitter.
Grandparents’ Day
We were delighted to welcome over 100 grandparents on Thursday. They enjoyed various lessons and then, the highlight, afternoon tea and cake!
Suffolk Show
We very much look forward to seeing you all at the Suffolk Show next week. We will be in the usual spot, Stand No. 295.
Science Week
Science week will soon be here and Mrs Moon is in need of 1 litre transparent fizzy drinks bottles, 1 litre juice ‘tetrapack’ cartons e.g. orange juice, margarine tubs [and similar]. Please leave them in room 4 or the School Office.
Common Entrance Exams
Common Entrance exams start on Monday 3rd June -good luck to all those pupils from Year 8 taking part.
Speech Day Prize Winners
Letters will be going out at half term confirming all those pupils in Years 3 to 7 who are being awarded prizes on Speech Day. Year 8 prize winners letters will be issued once the Common Entrance examinations have concluded and the results have been made public. Some of the prizes awarded are cups/trophies and others require a visit to Waterstones to select and order suitable books. The letter will explain what to do and half term maybe a good time to complete the exercise.

The Friends at Brandeston Hall was set up two years ago with the main aim of providing parents with a network of support and the opportunity to meet on a social basis.
