Fathers at Brandeston Complete Charity Bike Ride
A spectacular sum of approximately £40,000 has been raised and money is still coming in . . .
The ‘Fathers at Brandeston Hall’ cyclists have completed their epic 8 day, 700 mile journey from John O’Groats to Brandeston Hall. They passed the finish line in brilliant sunshine accompanied by all manner of supporting cyclists yesterday, Sunday 17th June, Fathers’ day, at 1.00pm.

A crowd of family, supporters and friends welcomed them back together with representatives from charities, ‘East Anglian Children’s Hospice’ and ‘Bowel & Cancer Research’.
Martin Myers-Allen, Headmaster of Brandeston Hall, spoke a few words and handed champagne to the cyclists and support crew at the finish line and Brian Faulkner then proceeded to mesmerise and entertain the crowd with a tale of their journey. A spectacular sum of about £40,000 had been raised and the money was still coming in.
Picnics were then enjoyed on the lawn and a special cake was cut and shared. It was a memorable day indeed and this won't be the last we will hear of the exploits of ‘Fathers at Brandeston’.
You can view video diaries of the last few days on the Father at Brandeston website.
