The School
Friends at Brandeston Hall
The Friends at Brandeston Hall was set up two years ago with the main aim of providing parents with a network of support and the opportunity to meet on a social basis.

To date we have organised quiz nights, an Arts and Music evening, tennis and golf mornings, Santa’s Shop and several social hacks to name just a few. These events are organised by the committee which has a cross-section of parents representing the whole school from youngest to oldest. One member of the committee is also responsible for coordinating the Year Group Representatives. These are parents in each year group whose role is to be a focus point for the other parents and pass information on about forthcoming events. Quite often the representative also arranges social ‘get-togethers’ for the families during the holiday time - an ideal opportunity for new families to meet other families on neutral ground before they even arrive at the school.
Whilst the idea of these social events is a non-profit making one, there is inevitably a little profit made from time to time. The secondary responsibility of the committee is to oversee how this money is spent. Events often have a particular charity that raised money go to, these have included Help the Heros and East Anglian Childrens’ Hospices, EACH. We also like to provide things that will benefit all the children in the school. To date we have contributed to an ‘Outside Classroom’, paid for a theatre company to perform a show to the school and presented commemorative Diamond Jubliee Coins to all the children.
The current committee is:
Bruce Wilson - Chairman
Beano Coates - Vice-Chair
