Brandeston Hall Golf Club

 

Brandeston Hall has a magnificent 9 hole golf course. The Headmaster, Martin Myers-Allen, is delighted to announce that the Brandeston Hall Golf Club is now open so that parents and grandparents can play with their children during term time.   The simple rules on who can play and opening times are detailed below.

Guidelines for use.

1. Open to parents and grandparents of existing pupils at Brandeston Hall and Framlingham College during term time.
2. Holes 1-6 are available and playable after 5pm, Monday - Friday.
3. On Sunday mornings (0900-1300hrs) holes 1-9 are available and playable if the boarders are away on an out-of-school visit.  If boarders are on site please only play holes 1-6.
4. On Exeat Weekends Holes 1-9 are available and playable on Saturday and Sunday mornings from 0900-1300hrs.
5. Rules on dress and etiquette are as at any reputable golf club.

Local rules.

1. Hole 1 is only allowed to be played as a 'dog leg'.  Blind shots over the nets and tennis courts are considered 'out of bounds'.
2. No golf trolleys to be used if the ground is saturated.
3. Out of bounds:-
a) Beyond any fence or hedge bounding the course.
b) On the gravel and hard courts.
4. Protection of trees.  If trees interfere with a player's stance or area of swing, the ball can be cleaned, lifted and dropped without penalty.
5. Stones and tree branches in bunkers are movable obstructions.
6. Keep trolleys off greens, replace divots, repair pitch marks and rake all bunkers.
