A Funny Thing Happened on The Way To The Forum
- Senior Production 2012

Wednesday 5th, Thursday 6th and Friday 7th December saw the Autumn Production in the Headmaster Porter Theatre - Stephen Sondheim's 'A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum'.A total of over 50 students and staff took part, either on stage or behind the scenes, and special mention should go to Alex Myers-Allen for his energetic and inventive Pseudolus, Charlie Bullen for his frantic Hysterium and Tom Hampson for his scene-stealing, downtrodden Senex. All the performers showed great technical skill to deal with the complex timing and precision required for farce to be effective, and they combined with a note perfect band and impressive set to produce a show which warmed the wintry cockles with a touch of Ancient Roman fun.

Animal Farm - Junior Production 2012

Students from Year 9 and 10 tackled the weighty issues of George Orwell's Animal Farm in the Summer Production in the HMPT. The production was full of anarchy, with grafitti, fake blood, stilt walking and rotating windmills all present in an action-packed hour long version of the classic cautionary tale. Cressi Sowerbutts as Napoleon deserves special mention, but the whole ensemble cast did an excellent job of bringing the mad world of the play to life.
