Heathrow, Stansted & Liverpool Street Bus Services - Revised: July 2011

A minimum of 3 days notice, prior to the day of travelling, is needed to book coaches and escorts. Therefore bookings may not be accepted after this period if it would mean exceeding the seat/luggage capacity. It is strongly advised that you book as early as possible. Outward journeys are booked by pupils at the administration office. Return journeys can be booked through Mrs Farquhar by phoning the school reception or by emailing travel@framcollege.co.uk. The charge for a single journey is currently:

Travel Charges

Please ensure that you have the following details available when booking. Details may be confirmed nearer the date of travel if booking early:

1. Departure Airport
2. Flight Number
3. Flight Arrival Time
4. Airline Carrier (BA, Lufthansa etc)
5. Mobile phone contact number

Delays

The coach is unable to wait for flights that have been delayed for long periods. All pupils using this service must have the means to pay for alternate travel if they cannot meet the coach in time. The average taxi fare to London Heathrow is £140, Stansted is £80, train fare from Liverpool St. is £30+ and a taxi from Ipswich would be c.£30. (All fares are approximate and do not take into account any offers at time of travel.)

Unaccompanied Minors
It is the responsibility of the parent or guardian to check with the airline that, when booking flights, there are no special arrangements needed for students under the age of 16.

Travel Information / Update

The travel co-ordinator at the College is Mr S. Page. He can be contacted on the Travel Number: 07917 248655 on the day of travel, to give updates on coach delays, take cancellations or for general assistance on travel problems. Please inform Mr Page of any delays, cancellations or problems as soon as possible.

Bus Departure & Arrival Times

All buses depart Framlingham College from the swimming pool car park.

Please note:

All pupils are eligible to travel on any of the bus services, although priority will be given to those pupils traveling from overseas.
