Luke Pritchard-Barrett selected for Midlands Independent Schools’ Lambs squad

Friday 9 Dec 2016

Framlingham College 1st XV prop Luke Pritchard-Barrett has been selected in the Midlands Independent Schools’ Lambs squad following trials on Sunday.

Luke, who can operate on either side of the scrummage, will represent the Midlands in a fixture against The Perse Upper School 1st XV on Sunday, as part of the next stage in the trials process.

Founded in 2006, The Lambs exists to create openings for boys to showcase their rugby skills at a representative level when they have been unable to do so due to other commitments or a lack of selection opportunities. The National squad will tour North America next year, as well as playing matches against Saracens, Northampton Saints and Worcester Warriors.

Director of Sport at the College, Nick Gandy, who is also one of the Lambs National XV Coaches and he commented,’ we are absolutely delighted for Luke and this is a great reward for the dedication and commitment that he has demonstrated in recent years. His rise through the ranks has been quite remarkable.’
