Framlingham College offers flexible boarding arrangements that can fit in around the needs of your child(ren) and family.
We have a flexible approach to boarding that allows you to choose from the following types of boarding arrangement:
Full – Your child is at the school seven days per week, throughout each term.
Weekly – Your child boards 5 nights and goes home after matches on Saturday.
Part – Minimum of 3 nights per week.
Occasional – You and your child can arrange for boarding on an adhoc basis.
Whichever option you choose, the boarding experience aims to develop the academic, cultural, and physical talents of each child. This principle also underpins the lives of the day pupils.
There are four boarding houses for boys (Garrett, Kerrison, Stradbroke and Rendlesham) and three for girls (Moreau, Pembroke and Victoria). We fully integrate day students into the life of the campus by placing each one within a House. This allows for a sharing of accommodation and facilities, as well as identity. It also means that every pupil can take advantage of the rich seam of co-curricular activities on offer beyond the normal school day.
At Framlingham College Prep School the after-school atmosphere is homely, safe and fun for all of our full time, flexi and occasional boarders. We encourage our boarding and day pupils to develop their independence and as they do so, their pride in their surroundings grows along with their self-confidence.
The boarding house offers a series of bright and airy rooms that have commanding views of the grounds and surrounding countryside. The boys and girls occupy separate floors, each with modern bathrooms and there is a communal common room. The children have easy access to the resident house staff and Mr Marland and his team make the whole boarding experience fun with a variety of special themed nights and exciting evening and weekend activities.
