The Nursery follows a ‘play to learn’ ethos that puts the children at the centre of their own learning journeys.
Through play, your child will learn how to socialise, communicate and solve problems. Playful activities – completed alone and with friends – also enable children to develop their creativity and thinking skills and to enrich their understanding of the world around them.
We’ve developed our own Creative Curriculum for Nursery and Pre-prep, which provides stimulating play opportunities for all. As well as encouraging exploration and allowing the children to experience different activities and environments, these sessions also give us the chance to identify each child’s interests and abilities. Having these insights means we can plan for the child’s next developmental steps, with the aim of ensuring that he or she develops to their full potential.
We make the very most of our idyllic location to ensure that our children play and learn outside as often as possible. Muddy boots and dirty hands are a daily feature of life at the school and, by encouraging adventure and curiosity, life for our youngest children is sometimes messy but always fun!
We welcome visitors to the Nursery at any time, as well as on our Open Mornings, so please get in touch to arrange a visit.
