Four of our pupils represented Suffolk in the Anglian Cross Country Championships at Abington Park, Northampton, last weekend.

Alex Lawrence was again the stand-out performer, finishing only 2 seconds behind the winner of the Senior Boys’ race to claim the silver medal.

Mimi Salsby finished 8th in the Junior Girls’ race, Lily Woodruff finished 10th in the Senior Girls’ race and Millie Crewe finished 53rd in the Inter Girls’ race, despite struggling with injury.

Suffolk were overall winners for the 11th consecutive year and Alex and Lily’s teams won their respective sections.

All four pupils now face an anxious wait to see if they have made the Suffolk team to compete at the ESAA National Championships in March in Norwich.
