Sixth Form Dinner 2017

Wednesday 29 Mar 2017

On Saturday night the entertainment committee, with the help of Mr Boatman, held the annual Sixth Form Dinner event. This year the theme was Hollywood and so Paul’s Court was filled with decorations, including a red carpet and paparazzi figures fixed to the windows.

The tables were individually themed and decorated to a Hollywood film, which added to the fun of the evening. The night started at 7:30pm, with drinks and canapés whilst everyone had their photos taken. The catering department impressed with their delicious honey glazed duck and Malteser cheesecake. Cosmo Oliver acted as master of ceremonies and Jack Stewart gave the Loyal Toast.

After the meal, JoJo Maberley welcomed the guests and gave a vote of thanks. Flo McCausland and Amy Walker then held a Hollywood awards ceremony, with awards such as ‘Best Dressed’ voted for by the guests, which created an exciting atmosphere.

The night ended with a disco in the café, DJ’d by Alex Emsden. The evening was a great success and has set the standard for subsequent years.
