Spelling Bee Final 2017

Friday 1 Dec 2017

How would you cope with tonsillitis and diarrhoea? Well the finalists at last night’s Spelling Bee final did as they tackled both these words and many others such as ratatouille and desiccated. Our eventual winner was Chi Chi Oduah-Ogiemwonyi, following a spell off with James Tennant, but the standard was high throughout the rounds and Jonty Ward, Heather Alabaster, Seth Faulkner, Amy Orford, Louis Cockle and Will Singleton all deserve plaudits for their efforts.

Thanks should also go to Harriet Sunnucks and Ruby Morgan for hosting the evening, Miss Stark and Elaine Atkin for keeping track of the words spelt and to the staff and parents who supported the event.

View the video of the winner, Chi Chi, on our Facebook page!
